Jack Margossian graduated from University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1976 with a degree in accounting. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the IT industry, going back to the days of Digital Equipment Corporation. Jack expanded Comport’s footprint into New England and the Southeast, and played an integral role in the development of Comport’s US-wide industry leadership in the transformations currently underway in the field of healthcare. He enjoys meeting with customers, and has great passion for solving their IT problems in the best possible manner. Those who know Jack have seen that his capacity for out-of-the-box thinking can generate the ideal solution.
Michael C. Vencel
Executive Vice President
As Executive Vice President at Comport, Mike Vencel is responsible for leading strategy, sales, operations, marketing and enterprise architects. With more than 25 years of experience in business management, technology, and sales Mike has an astute understanding of customer needs from the data center to strategic business solutions. His career began as a Senior Analyst at Accenture, leading system integration projects at Fortune 100 healthcare companies and government agencies. At Infinite Technology Group Mike led complex professional and managed services solutions focusing on financial and dot-com industries. Mike sits on several executive partner councils, including Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Veeam. He is involved with charitable causes, serving as President of the Board of Trustees for STEAMpark, INC., a 501(c)3 focused on education for children in at-risk communities. Mike graduated from Bentley University with a BS in Finance.
Chief Financial Officer
Bob graduated from Bernard M. Baruch College, New York with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He attained his license to practice as a CPA in 1980 and was a partner at Bernard D. Kleinman & Co. CPA in New York, where he specialized in business structuring and planning related to complex tax issues. Bob also served as CFO for a retail chain. Bob joined Comport in 2006 as CFO and member of the management team, where his prime duties encompass financial and risk management. He enjoys the technology business and finds it fascinating.
Chief Technology Officer
As Chief Technology Officer, Erik Krucker manages Comport’s IT, both from a customer and partner perspective. Erik’s prior experience includes responsibility for Weill Cornell Medical College’s critical systems including Virtualized, Email, Epic Electronic Medical Records, and Storage. Erik also led the storage team for a global service provider of mission-critical IT services, including cloud computing, infrastructure as a service, platform as a service, colocation and data centers. Erik holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Fordham University in Management Information Systems and Communications. With strategic insight, straight talk, hands-on experience and wry sense of humor Erik is a popular industry speaker.
Director, Professional Services
Ron Doiron has over 30 years of experience in the computer industry, designing and implementing complex computer environments. He graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University Connecticut, magna cum laude. He began his career in applications development for large real-time systems and power grid analysis for the electric utility industry, and worked as a lead Engineer and Project Manager. For 16 years he worked at Hewlett Packard as a Solution Architect. Ron has worked for Comport for the past 10 years, designing and implementing solutions and as the Manager of Professional Services.
Kathleen D. Kinka
VP of Marketing
Kathleen Kinka brings 25 years of executive and consulting experience to Comport. She held senior management positions in public and private technology companies including Vice President for ISCG, Director Business Development at Sarnoff Corp., Sales management and Director International Trade Policy for Digital Equipment Corporation, and the Xerox Corp. Ms. Kinka holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois, and a Masters of Business Administration from Temple University.
Vice President, ComportSecure
An accomplished IT leader and architect, Matt Burch is highly skilled in Managed Services and designing, deploying and managing complex IT infrastructures for large, mid-size, and growing companies. Matt is Comport’s executive leader responsible for ComportSecure, Comport’s Managed and Hosted Services division, and will oversee the Networking Practice.
Matt’s prior experience includes founding his own successful service business with stringent SLA’s and 24 x 7 support. Matt also architected and lead strategic initiatives for various service providers including managed services, IT architecture and cloud computing.
VP of Healthcare
As Comport’s VP, Healthcare Geoff Bakeman brings over 25 years of experience in Healthcare IT. Known for innovative solutions to healthcare challenges, his expertise spans hospital applications and data center infrastructure, including IBM, Cisco and HPE healthcare solutions. Geoff’s expertise is available to all Comport’s healthcare clients. Geoff holds a BS, Computer Science from The Ohio State University; he resides outside Philadelphia.
Vice President, Managed Services
With over 20 years of experience in enterprise IT Operations, Don is a seasoned technology leader. He has helped customers create strategies for data center implementation, migration and management whether on-premises or in the cloud. Don currently leads ComportSecure’s Managed Services, Hosting Services and Professional Services.
Don’s recent experience includes leading a team at Gartner that created a digital transformation strategy for the move to hybrid cloud. This transformation included consolidation and migrations of datacenters (including “infrastructure as a code”), implementation of CICD Strategy (Concepts in Continual Integration), and inclusion of native cloud and VMWare cloud technologies. Don was also a key player managing several Gartner acquisitions and expansions over the years including the most recent CEB acquisition.
Don is an Eagle Scout and an avid recreational boater. The scouting experience has provided him with years of leading and building teams, his personal passion is helping others reach their full potential. During his downtime from IT, Don enjoys navigating up and down the east coast of the US with his family.
Director Sales, New England
Athan Constantine has over 18 years of experience selling to the complex IT industry. He attained a BS degree in Business Administration from Merrimack College. He began his career at Avnet Computer as an account executive, selling IT solutions to end user clients. For 13 years he worked as a highly respected enterprise account manager for Hewlett Packard in the New England territory. Athan joined Comport in 2015 as District Sales Manager for New England. He is a member of the executive team, where his main focus is to drive growth in Comport’s new territories.
Director Sales, New York Metro
As Comport’s Director of Sales for New York Metro, Joe Zinna is responsible for providing executive leadership for sales, our commercial and healthcare clients, and partner operations in the greater NY City Metro area and Northern New Jersey. Joe joined Comport after a successful tenure with Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a F500 Enterprise Account Manager, where he specialized in Storage, Data Center and Hybrid Cloud. For over a decade, Joe has worked with clients to understand their needs, create business efficiencies and enable digital transformations. Joe has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from The State University of New York College at Cortland.
Director Sales, Central
As Comport’s Director Central Region, David Gerrity is responsible for customer and partner outcomes. Prior to joining Comport, David was President of a healthcare consulting firm, delivering clinical application and workflow advisors to help healthcare providers streamline their operations. David’s insights on business initiatives and technical needs of healthcare and commercial leaders underlies his ability to deliver best-in-class solutions for the toughest business challenges. A graduate of the Mendoza College of Business of the University of Notre Dame, David is also a former record holder in pole vault. In his spare time, he likes to spend time outdoors with his wife and six children.
