Senior Cloud Engineer (Microsoft)
As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you’re responsible for helping businesses achieve their digital transformation goals by implementing cloud-based solutions. Your main role is to design, develop, and implement cloud infrastructure that meets our client’s requirements. You will work closely with clients to identify their business needs, assess existing infrastructure, and develop a migration plan that ensures a seamless transition to the cloud.

To be successful as a senior cloud engineer, you’ll need strong communication and interpersonal skills as you’ll be working with clients and other IT professionals to ensure that cloud solutions meet business goals. You will be focusing on technologies that enables organizations to better secure and manage their end user populations, and implement well architected cloud solutions.
SENIOR CLOUD ENGINEER RESPONSIBILIIES INCLUDE:
Modern Workplace
- As a senior cloud engineer, you will plan, deploy, and configure Microsoft Intune, Entra, and Defender for clients, ensuring a seamless transition to modern endpoint management.
- Implement and maintain security baselines, conditional access policies, and compliance policies in Intune to protect endpoints and data.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve issues for clients, including device enrollment, application management, cloud infrastructure, and Microsoft related technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT administrators, security experts, and compliance officers, to ensure Intune aligns with overall IT and security strategies.
Cloud Infrastructure
- Assist in the provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure on platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Deploy virtualized desktop solutions such as Azure Virtual Desktop
- Collaborate with the security team to perform vulnerability assessments and scans on Microsoft systems and applications.
- Collaborate with other Comport Engineers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability of cloud applications.
- Assist in maintaining and enforcing security policies, standards, and guidelines related to Microsoft technologies.
- Participate in security awareness programs and help educate employees about best practices in Microsoft technologies.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for mentees and encourage their professional growth.
General
- Maintain required technical knowledge and certifications as specified by management for the senior cloud engineer position.
- Work will generally be delivered remotely and during business hours, however some issues such as patch management or troubleshooting may require afterhours, Weekend and/ or on onsite work.
- Manage personal support ticket queue to meet client SLAs for ticket resolution and satisfaction.
- Must be attentive with initiative to proactively prioritize workload and exercise independent judgment to determine appropriate and timely actions to isolate faults and recovery.
- Ability to maintain a courteous, professional manner with clients at all times and work well under stress.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
- Strong communication, client-facing, and teamwork skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to positively represent ComportSecure when interacting with clients and technical teams.
- Work remotely in a fast dynamic environment.
- Technical value-added reseller support role a plus.
